Welcome to the Advanced Dental of Las Cruces blog!
We know that some folks just don’t feel like smiling. That is very much the case when you have missing teeth. If you’re currently struggling with adult tooth loss or need to stabilize your dentures, our team can provide you with a good solution: dental implants.
We’ll be upfront with you: dental implants are a somewhat more expensive than bridges and removable dentures, but they are an investment in your restored health and quality of life.
The good news is that Dr. Reiter has many years of hands-on experience and plenty of advanced technical training in placing dental implants. So you can rest assured that we can provide you with a beautifully restored smile designed to last a lifetime.
What’s more, we handle all implant procedures in-house and we can perform your implant procedure from start to finish right here in the environment you already feel at home in.

Are You A Good Candidate?
First things first. When you come see us for your dental implant consultation, we will take a series of X-rays and other images of your mouth to determine the health of your oral cavity and jaw. At that juncture, you will have the opportunity to speak with Dr. Reiter about your options, and he will let you know what his recommendations are for moving forward.
If it turns out that you are a good candidate for dental implants, we’ll put the wheels in motion and go over the procedure and the aftercare treatment so you know just what to expect along the way.
What Does The Procedure Entail?
It is a two-step process to restore your smile. The implants themselves are titanium screw-like posts that replace the root of your natural tooth. After it is in place, we will be able to attach an abutment to the implant to firmly hold your restoration in place. These restorations include crowns, dental bridges, or dentures.
The great thing about implants is that you will quickly be able to get back your natural look. There won’t be any more gaping holes in your smile, or collapsed cheeks to make you feel self-conscious.
After getting your implants, you will also have restored biting power. This means that you can go back to eating the foods you love, and the fiber-rich items that keeps you healthy and happy. And if you’ve received our dental implants in order to stabilize your dentures, you’ll be able to eat with confidence.
