Dental Implants in Las Cruces, NM
Are you missing one or more teeth? Are you tired of looking in the mirror and wishing that you had a full smile? Are you feeling insecure about your smile? If so, the team at Advanced Dental of Las Cruces is ready to help you. We are proud to offer dental implants to replace one or more of your missing teeth. We do everything we can to save your severely damaged or decayed teeth, but when it is not possible, we may recommend dental implants in Las Cruces as a permanent tooth replacement option.
What are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are small titanium posts that are surgically implanted into your jawbone. When you lose a tooth, your jaw will begin to shrink and your other teeth will shift around to try and fill in the missing space. To prevent this from happening, we can place a dental implant into the jawbone where the missing tooth was at to help maintain bone mass and prevent a shift in your teeth. The post will immediately begin to fuse to your jawbone for an incredibly strong, permanent anchor for a replacement tooth.
Once your jawbone has had time to heal, lifelike crowns or bridges will be placed on top of the posts to provide you with a beautiful, filled-out smile. You will be able to eat and talk like you would with natural teeth, and each crown will feel and look natural – so no one will be able to tell you had any implants put in.
Types of Dental Implants We Offer
We offer a variety of implants in our office. The type that is right for you will depend on your current situation, your oral and overall health, your bone density and quality, and the recommendations of Dr. Reiter. Some of our options include:
- Multiple tooth implants
- Single tooth implants
- Full-arch restoration on four or six dental implants
- Implant-retained dentures
- Mini dental implants
- Same-day smile (same-day placement of load-bearing crowns and dentures)
The Implant Procedure
Dr. Reiter has many years of experience and advanced training in dental implants and can provide you with a beautiful smile for life. Dr. Reiter handles all implant procedures in-house and will perform your implant procedure from start to finish.
When you come in for a consultation, we will take X-rays and images of your mouth to determine the health of your mouth and jaw. You will have the opportunity to speak with Dr. Reiter about your options, and he will let you know what his recommendations are. If you are a good candidate for dental implants, you will go over the procedure and the aftercare treatment at this point as well. With the help of cone beam computed tomography and 3D planning for your dental implants, your smile will look just like you have always hoped it would.
