Preventive Dentistry With A Personal Touch

Welcome to another edition of the Advanced Dental of Las Cruces blog!

We are your trusted source for comprehensive dentistry services in New Mexico. If you live in the area, please plan to pay us a visit. You’ll be glad that you did.

Once you are entrusted to our care, you will have a partner in prevention. And you can bet that we will do our part to keep bad things (like disease and decay) at bay and to keep your smile looking great all through life. Doesn’t that sound like a good deal?

Preventive dentistry really is a partnership, and patients have a part to play too. Keep reading to hear some of our preventive dentistry tips, and then be sure to follow up with our team to schedule your next appointment.

Brush Your Teeth

It all begins in your medicine cabinet! Your frontline defense against bacteria, gum disease, and cavities is brushing your teeth! The American Dental Association suggests that you do it twice a day, and for two minutes per session. Also, remember to replace your toothbrush regularly!

Flossing Is Non-Negotiable

Brushing your teeth is great but that is not the end of your responsibility. Flossing your teeth is every bit as important as brushing. Flossing is the only way to get in-between your teeth where plaque and tartar can build up, waiting to cause trouble in your mouth. Trust us, flossing now is much easier than a root canal or extraction later on!

Find A Good Mouthwash

If you want to take it further, find a good mouthwash. Rinsing with a fluoride mouthwash can be very effective at reducing bacteria levels and helping fight off cavities. It is an easy way to add protection.

Visit Us Often

We are here for you, but we can’t do you much good if you never stop by. Our professional teeth cleanings and thorough exams will go a long way towards keeping your mouth clean and your smile sparkling if you get them every 3-6 months.

When you think about it, we really do need to know what is going on so that we can address any emerging causes for concern. You wouldn’t want to miss periodontal disease or oral cancer while they are still in the early–easily treatable–stages!

Advanced Dental of Las Cruces makes it easy for you to stay healthy. And if there is ever anything else that we can do to make it a more enjoyable experience, don’t hesitate to let our caring and compassionate staff know.

Take The Next Step!

Remember, if you are doing your part at home, we will take care of the things that require tools, training, and technology.

At Advanced Dental of Las Cruces, we are here to help clean, straighten, whiten, strengthen, improve, or replace your teeth. Our team is also well educated in the many sleep apnea treatments that can bring you better rest. We do it all!
